Our story
I built the tool I couldn’t buy. Then I made myself customer number one.
By Ross Dillon, founder of Lead Dominator and owner of Greater Phoenix Cleaning.
I run a cleaning company in Phoenix. Residential and commercial, a remotely run team, real payroll. Like every home-service owner I know, I pay for leads — Google, Thumbtack, Yelp — and for years I watched a painful share of them go cold for the dumbest possible reason: nobody could get to the phone fast enough.
Not because we didn’t care. Because we were working. You’re under a sink, on a roof, in a truck, on another customer’s call. The notification sits there. Ten minutes later you call back and the homeowner says, kindly, “Oh — we already booked someone.” You paid for that lead. Someone faster got the job.
I did what you’d do. I tried the software. Some of it texted like a robot and embarrassed us in front of customers. Some of it locked us into a year and made cancelling a project. None of it did the one thing I actually wanted: get me on the phone with the customer, right now, with the details in my ear.
So I started building it: a workflow designed to send a short, business-approved response, ring my phone with the details, and connect me when I press 1. When I take over, the automation should step back. When a customer says stop, the system must stop.
Greater Phoenix Cleaning is the proof-of-concept workspace. The private, non-sending AI preview is available now; live provider, texting, and calling access remain behind controlled approval.
Now I’m looking for a small group of owners to help prove the workflow safely. If that’s you, apply for consideration. An application is not automatic enrollment or live activation.
